企業及び地方自治体等との連携を強化し、地域の発展へ貢献する人材の育成・産業の創出に積極的に貢献し、また、イノベーション・コモンズを強力に推進するため、令和５年４月1日、オープンイノベーションセンターを設置しました。新たに「オープンファシリティ運営システム」を構築しサービスの向上に努め、機器共用の促進だけではなく、熊本大学と産業界との連携を強化し、広く学内外との共同研究の創出や、技術人材の育成を更に拡充し、研究者の研究活動支援の更なる向上を目指しています。

ファシリティ推進室を置き、全学研究用設備・機器をデータベース化、可視化させ、学内外に情報提供することにより、本学の研究力向上に繋げるとともに、共同研究・受託研究を拡大する上で重要なハブの機能を果たしています。

また、全学研究用設備・機器に関する学内外からの利用相談等の総合窓口として機能し、管理者との橋渡しを行うことで円滑な研究活動の推進を図ってまいります。

オープンイノベーションは、オープンファシリティ運営システムを取り入れ、産業界との連携を強化し、産学官金連携（共同研究等）の拡大による研究力の強化、大型装置（ソフトを含む）の共用促進と、学内外への利用促進を図ります。研究設備・機器を効果的・効率的に運用し、研究者の研究活動を促進します。

For open innovation, we will adopt an open facility management system, strengthen cooperation with industry, strengthen research capabilities by expanding industry-academia-government-finance collaboration (joint research, etc.), promote sharing of large equipment (including software), We will promote use inside and outside the university.
